I am planning to build out the attic of a 1 1/2 story house. It currently has a 90,000 btu Slant-Fin boiler and cast iron radiators on the first floor. One is missing in the living room and it looks like there may have been one in the bath room at some point. The first floor is about 950 square feet. The attic will be about 450 square feet finished space plus a full bath. It currently has one 6 section cast iron radiator for the whole space. Can I add copper baseboard in the attic and where radiators are missing? I've talked to several heating contractors and get conflicting data on what I should do. I'm a remodeling contractor and could figure this out if I had the some data. Any good sources for data on hot water systems and retrofits?
