Thanks for the reply. Yes I understand the I=B=R rating you kindly pointed out.
Now having said all of that, would it be even more efficient to replace the entire system with a hot water system. My house is two stories (boiler in basement and two floors above), would it be difficult to re-pipe for this. Would I have to rip out some walls. By the way, the current piping is set up with all wet returns. I have no steam traps at all.
