: Hi, I have a VCW-sine 18 Vaillant boiler about 12 years old.

: Where else should I check for this fault?
: Any help much appreciated,
: Clive.

Could be a number of things....

1) Reason 1 is claughing of the sanitairi-boiler.
2) Fault in the electronics.
3) Modulation Magnet failing, remove it by loosening the screws, if the top comes apart then you have your fault found.
4) The flow valve in the waterhouse (the device that pushes it's pin against the switches) has filters inside, remove it clean it, put nen membrane and gasket inside and replace it.

Most fault with badly maintenanced (and every stupid plumber can remove a little dust) appliances is found in fault number 4 !
