I need help choosing the right size gas steam boiler to replace the old one. Radiator count and calculations from the charts yield a surface area of 1444 sf. The house is about 6000 sf and one-hundred years old. What should the ideal gross output of the new boiler be? What are the pros and cons of going a little bigger? Thanks for anyone's help.
