I have a Weil-McLain low pressure steam boiler (EG-65)and two pipe heating system in my 1935 house. I would like to heat the basement with a hydronic baseboard loop which can, with difficultly, be run entirely below the waterline. How do I pipe it from the boiler? Must the entire run be below the boiler's waterline (can I run part of the piping above a doorway). Do I need an air eliminater, check valve. Are there any books on the subject?, I am eager to learn all I can on the subject to do it right.
