I have a steam boiler system in my home, and I have some vents that hiss and then click
off (as I think they're supposed to) and others that seem to just gurgle constantly when
the boiler is firing. Sometimes if you give the gurgling vent a good thwack with your fingers
they'll click closed too. My assumption is bad vents? My questions are:
1. Why would some radiators' vents gurgle and some hiss?
2. Who (manufacturers) make decent steam vents for radiators? Adjustable ones
would be preferable.
