My primary boiler is gas fired. Is it possible to have an alternate boiler hooked up to the same system, as an example a wood fired boiler. My main reason for looking into this is that I have a source for wood but I do not want to rely on this 100%. Just the assurance that the gas boiler will take over and maintain the temperatures when the wood boiler is not on.
How crazy of an idea is this?
