Low level auto fill

I have a 20 year old Hydrotherm natural gas fired boiler, steam, one "zone", seven radiators( four downstairs, three upstairs). How do I install an auto fill valve so the furnace doesn't run out of water if I'm away. The water in the site tube goes down approx 1"-2" per week and I am forever refilling it. Is this just a quick fix and should I get a new boiler. Its a two story house and I'd like to have two zones. Is this possible? I know I have to call a professional but I'd like to have an idea what this all entails. Thanks.
