i insulated an older home to a calculated heat loss of 39,000 btu/hr and want to replace a 50 yr old weil- mclain 4 section cast iron coal/oil(rated 2gal/hr)hotwater boiler with a 90% afue dunkirk cast aluminum quantum 90-50 gas fired hw boiler. Since this is an alumnium boiler i am concerned about galvanic corrosion of the existing steel distribution system. dunkirk dosen't answer my e-mail and their tech rep is a voice mail recording. does anyone have experience with this boiler?
