:Maybe it's possible to save money with a good tune up (co2 test , lowered steam pressure when it's possible , put back the baffles plates if boiler is design to, control the draft with a good barometric control, repair all condensate leaks or steam leaks,etc. etc.)And about the electronic ignition, save it's life by eliminating the cycling... If you do some of the normal part of a tune up you willsave money and prepare that money for the new boiler to come, because ,a 50years old steam boiler won't last another 50 years
