Harold this expansion tank is called fill-troll
made by AMTROL.
According to the direction this tank has a 12 psi pressurized diagfram and a a valve which will let the city water in, if the pressure in the boiler gets to be less than 12.
At this point the pressure in the boiler (cold) is 5 PSI (not twelve) I imagine that when operating it will go up to 9.
Do you still think I should not refill the tank to 12 PSI as set at the factory?
