Go to the free lessons on hot water heat at http://www.hydronic.net and read the section on making hot water in a boiler. You will find a device called a tempering valve that will mix cool water with your hot water to make comfortable water and even more hot water for showers. Ask your heating plumber for the best and have it installed.
