Well, I am biased because I know 100 years of research studies showing that hot water heat is more comfortable and economical. That could include the expressed preferences of thousands of people. I have lived in and installed them all. Hot air heating is installed to try to cost less than hot water heat and to compromise a heating system that heats best from the bottom and cools best from the top so they can have central air. Young people are less sensitive to cold, so they are happy with warm air making wide temperature swings, paying repairs cause they forgot to change filters and fixing oversized furnaces, cleaning dust blown around, listening to the thunk and whoosh of the ducts, and having nosebleeds until buying and maintaining a humidifier. Then they move into a hot water heated house in their middle years when money is less worry. - Just an opinion of those who can afford better.
