Residential boilers list from plumbing suppliers for about $2400, more or less depending upon the features and quality. The best boilers are the ones that are sold the most in your area. They are the best because the installers prefer then for less trouble and good parts availability.
There are more efficient and higher quality boilers available, but if few people buy them for expense, the parts and knowledge to repair them are not available. The most efficient boilers may be the most tricky to maintain. The highest quality castings and appearance may not be the most efficient. The most dependable may neither be most efficient nor good looking. A boiler is a vessel that can hold water and use the heat sent to it from the controls. The controls for almost all boiler manufacturers are made by 3 control manufacturers.
