No, and no (probably). If you have a friend that repairs systems for a living he/she might be able to install it for someone that can't afford new and split the value. The costs and time involved in finding someone that needs it AND wants to buy stuff that is not guaranteed to be any better than what they have can be high. The labor cost involved in doing it twice is one concern. Many contractors are busy enough doing warranty work on new stuff with the manufacturer helping out. They don't make anymore with used (if they admit it is used). Some old guages, etc are collectible to a few if they are a fancy grade and old. You'd need someone from the trade to look at it when they pull it out. I still want a globe type syphon myself, but don't directly work on boilers anymore.
