I have sought out many opinions on whether or not I should replace my boiler or not, and have gotten many different opinions. I am reluctant to take these opinions mostly because they came from professionals seeking business.
Can someone give me advise on whether the increased efficiency of replacing my boiler is worth it. In other words, can I expect a 10 year or less payback on the replacement.

Below are the specifics:

Present boiler is 30 year old Weil McLain water boiler (gas)
The boiler is in decent condition (no exterior rust), but needs minor repairs (minor leaks)
There is no nameplate on the boiler, so no specifics are known.
One professional measured the gas orifaces and said it used 360,000 BTU input.
This is for a very large house with 265 feet of baseboard
Present gas bills are about $3600 per year
