..a note on Harold's advice, the brand/model of boiler in that age is pretty much immaterial (New ones may have proprietary controls etc). Several other companies make the oil burners or controls etc. You can get a manual for a similar current model at burnham.com The resources Harold listed are probably better for learning how and why.
