I have a one pipe steam system that heats two apartments in my house. I would like to add (eliminating electric baseboards)steam and or/hot water heat in my basement. Would it be feasable to #1 run a line off the return using baseboards,#2 run a line from the output (placing the rad's in a high location) or putting a FHP heat recovery system running off the Hot water heater, or is it more cost effect to run a new hotwater system from scratch?.
