I live in a coop built in 1927. The Webster System is a two pipe steam system with no condensate collector or condensate pumps. A large vertical pipe topped by a "float trap/air eliminator" or "Webster vent trap" is at the bottom of the returns. It is followed by a couple of large check valves before the return meets the boiler. We have no idea how this system functions, what kind of maintenance it requires or whether the new boiler is properly tuned to the system. HELP!! Any info would be greatly appreciated.
