Go to hydrolevel.com they make low water cut offs and feeders and discuss their use. If you know what the water level did before the feeder, or you can disable your feeder you can check the level when the water is upstairs. If it is safely in the glass then your feeder should be adjusted. If is a float type it needs to be shifted down a little bit or if it is an electronic in one hole then you need to lengthen the delay. You should get the installer back and get a copy of the installation instructions, it will tell how to set it.
