: if the sound your hearing, sounds like a machine gun, its normally a loose washer. the toilet ballcock will do the same thing when its about to die, often. if the rubber gets weak or loose you get the plumbing version of water hammer in a major way, and yes it will work at those soldered joints so the sooner you get it fixed the better.
NOPE it is more of a deep GROANING sound, not a rapid fire sound
