I have what I think is called a "two pipe" system in my residence, (one pipe into the radiator with a turn-off valve, and one exit pipe). I want to disconnect one in the bathroom in order to retile the wall behind it.
Can I do this in the winter while the system runs?
Do I just twist the valve off and disconnect at each end of the radiator? Do I have to do something special with the open "drain" end?
Can anyone suggest a reference book or web site that provides basic info re residential radiators?
