Tom: I have a similar problem on my 5 year old system...just replaced the high limit and circulator...still have the hammering noise...we have had the mfg rep here twice and still have no relief...the other problem is when we have an electric outage we dont have any hot water for bathing ...no power back up on the circulators...
any suggestions...
