The manufacturers date is usually stamped on the blr so codes can be checked etc. Kewanee lists a TYPE R, I don't see your Series, but am having trouble with PDFs. There is also some text on comparative efficiencies etc. Yours is about 20HP in the listings. I will bet that any savings you might get is not in replacing with a like blr. If you are talking steam, you need to do a radiation survey, if hot water you need to look at the load through the year. Your monthly fuel bills might help if you're gas.
