After you do what HK said, start blowing down your boiler. A half gallon every other day until it gets clear of solids. Color can still be dark. Then blow down once a week for a while during the heating season. Let the water cool and then dump it slowly to see how much solids you have. Don't dump that part in your plumbing. Only do it when boiler is going to run for an hr or two to get gases out. Add the half gallon if it is manual feed.
