A while ago you seemed concerned about dropping your pressure to the absolute minimum with a vaporstat etc. You may have dropped it to the point that the pressure drop of the piping/valve/radiator/vent is more than what you have at the main, so you end up with zero. Try raising the pressure a hair if it is set near zero. Sometimes air vents are found at the top of radiators when they had been used for water. The lower "bosses" on those radiators should be drilled and tapped to mount the vent low as the steam fills it from the top.
