Nameplate of boiler has Btuh input probably. I'd start at less, two 'sizes' down or .75. You didn't give blr brand, model, size. Are you making DHW with it? You may need some recovery rate for three teenagers and a tankless coil in a small boiler. Call a shop that sends their technicians to the free travelling manufacturers school's etc, instead of them learning from the old-timers next to them at the parts counter. Ask them when they've been to a one day Beckett training etc.
