That or you have a borderline flame that doesn't get seen now and then from sputtering, or misalignment etc. You might have air leak into oil line (might not see oil coming out), you could have too much sludge in tank or line. A vacuum gauge on the burner would show blockage. Your pump could be plugged or worn out if it is 20-30 yrs old. You could have cracked electrodes, weak transformer, poor setup of electrodes and nozzle pattern, bad primary relay, etc. Some of these aren't easy to find/fix but you better get him/her back or someone better.
