yes you can install a bushing in the valve. be carefull, if the bushing is installed vertically your okay with an average bushing. if its intalled horizontally youll need an ecentic bushing. many times a radiator valve is bigger than its supply pipe. but thats cause it was sized that way by square feet of radiation. your
problem (that you may end up with tho) may be that the new radiator is bigger than your old one and may condensate more than what the original supply pipe was sized to handle.
