Tommy I've looked into this a bit and there were two standars I bought, ASME A13.1-1996 ( scheme for the identification of piping systems) & ANSI Z535.1-1998 ( American National Standard Safety Color Code). Everything else I found referenced one or both of these publications. You can order these via www.global.ihs.com but you can get them thru thier respective associations.
