In New York City a fireman starts at $18:00 and goes as high as $25:00. A Stationary Enginner steam license is $21:00 - $28:00. Stationary Engineer Steam & Refrigeration License is $25:00 - $34:00 per hour. In New Jersey Boiler Operator Fireman $15:00 - $21:00 per hour. Stationary Engineer $18:00 - $ 25:00 per hour. : I'm trying to get an idea of what the average steam boiler attendant makes per hour. I'm in illinois. The average for this plant is $15.50/hr. Is that low?
