The unit you describe is probably the Cleaver Brooks Peak Temp hot oil heater. I think they were discontiued due to lack of market. There are other manufactures of hot oil heaters that use a simpler design and cost less. I have not heard of any lawsuits due to bad design.
: Does anyone have any history information on the cleaver brooks coil tube boilers (CTB)? Production of these boilers was changed/discontinued and I need to find out information regarding possible reasons. Are there any known lawsuits or documented incidents with these units? Possibly with coil failures.
