I am looking for advice on the use of copper tube/pipe for steam lines. The system pressure is 15PSIG and the system load is 100hp. The steam is being used for process humidification, direct injection.The system load profile is similiar to normal humidifier. The boiler feedwater is softned but no corrision inhibitors can be added due to process requirements. I am afraid carbon steel will rust quickly and want to avoid using stainless. I am looking to use copper lines with bronze valves with the appropriate trim. Would appreciate any help such as sizing tables for copper lines, material specifications, brazing material, and just general advice.
