by definition, 10 horsepower is the evaporation of 345 pounds of water at 212F.

That is 41.4 gallons of water per hour or .7 gallons US per minute. There are many pumps that easily supply 1 GPM at a required pressure; you want to know if the pump will supply that little amount at the pressure the boiler is to make steam, so you consult the pumpset manufacturer's specifications.
