Our client is a $12 billion utility company with approximately 10,600 employees. Our client provides service to more than 3.4 million customers across northern Illinois, or 70 percent of the state’s population. They are actively searching for quality candidates in the following four utility groups to manage work crews across the northern part of the state. The departments include:
· Overhead
· Underground
· Substation (Transformer)
· Support Services
Responsibilities
· Supervise union personnel
· Set up job routine for crew members
· Execute job plan
· Conduct safety huddles daily
· Routine check up on crew
· Barrier assessment and status reporting to job planners
Requirements
· Ability to respond to emergency situations (weather related and power outages)
· Supervisory experience or ability to supervise (depending on assessment)
· Experience with underground, overhead, electric, transformers/switchers, and/or substations.
· Ability to foster team work
· Champions creativity and change
· Ability to motivate and drive a team
Salary
$70,000-$80,000 + bonus
