: Are there any new coal fired utility boilers being built ? With the environmental concerns of coal and the ability to install a gas turbine faster and cheaper is a coal fired utility boiler still a viable option ?

Forgot to cut and paste additional note on subject;

EPA Chief Carol Browner received the green light
forSIP Call implementation Friday from the U.S. Court of Appeals in
Washington D.C., a feather in her cap, but a disappointing defeat for the coal
burners and other major industry in the South and Midwest. Duke's CEO, Richard Priory,
told shareholders yesterday that they can count on the company ramping up its
aggressive expansionist strategy in 2000, with the launch of new businesses
and three new power plants currently in the works. Check it out, and until next
time, take care.
