It'll be great...if it actually comes to pass. I'm in Canada, and our politicians talk all the time too. Unfortunately, they very much tend to say what they figure the audience wants to hear, as opposed to what they actually plan to do.
There's a quote I like. "Politicians are the same all over. They promise to build bridges even where there are no rivers." It's by Nikita Khrushchev. People are the same everywhere, and so are their politicians.
