Surface Condenser Anodes

We are currently in a turbine outage and I have the surface condenser open for inspection, I am wanting to replace my anode blocks during the inspection. I found a stash of new anodes on site but am trying to deternine if they are zinc or magnesium. My question is, is there a proven method to determine what type of material an anode is without sending one in for analysis? In addition, I will need to restock our supply and am trying to find a vender that sells anodes for surface condensers.

Thank you, Jim Black
