I am a shift engineer in a bark burning power plant. My boiler produces 250,000 #'s/hr. I have been given the glorious task of tuning the combustion on this monster.
We have just finished our first 6 months after commisioning this 40 MW power plant. I have a fire that looks really well on camera, I have approx 4.0 % excess air and have been
adjustiong my OFA zone dampers to try and lower the CO levels. At present I have lowered the CO level to approx 350 ppm from an offscale number. (scaling is 0 to 1000 ppm)
I am just wondering if anyone out there burns bark and what their CO level is with bark moisture content between 40% and 50%. any help would be greatly appreciated.
