More details please! What type of process are you trying to control? Is system cost an option or are you on a tight budget? Are you retrofitting an old plant or building a new one?
For example a plc controlling the operation and regeneration of a demineralizer train that has outputs tied into a dcs system, for monitoring etc.. We need more info to help!
