Now to achieve and maintain a scale free boiler requires a well run chemistry program. My current costs for boiler chemicals alone (500 MW Plant) is averaging about $40,000 a year. I hope this was helpful.
You may be hard pressed finding data for large boilers, as scaling isn't as frequently encountered with them anymore.
