New listings to the guestbook are temporarily offline due to automated spam programs that continue to crash our system. We're no Ebay or Amazon, we do not have an IT staff to fight these people. We apologize but the spammers adapt their tactics to every change we make. We don't know when we'll have everything back up but until we have a solid defence we have to take the guestbook offline.

Cool site. Very helpful.

Glad to see this site. I am a former Navy man, and I credit all of my success from the experience I picked as a Boiler Room machinest mate. Upon my discharge, I became a 3rd grade operator, and then after 2 years I successfully tested and received my 2nd grade License. Later I went into the chemical plant business, Where I have been operating Two 1500# 910/degr superheated boilers for the last 16 years. I have been very blessed financially with my line of work. Now I am looking to slow things down a bit and get back to Stationary Engineering. So you see, its been a good life. Not bad for a former 17 year old who didn't have a clue about what lay ahead. Enough said. Will be happy to start using this site to have communications with people who have similar stories. Thanks

My name is Edmund Marco and it's a pleasure to sign your guest book. I work for an advertising agency in London. Our agency represents direct marketing companies that are involved in the marketing of products as seen on TV in England. Most of the infomercial products come from the U.S. but then again we export our talents as well. My brother has appeared in infomercials in the U.S. advertising various products. I think it's hilarious that English people respond so well to American products while Americans tend to respond well to sales people who have an English accent! none.

This is an excellent forum to share current data.My company,Novacon Energy Systems Inc. has developed a process for reducing multiple emissions emanating from power plants and boilers that burn coal, wastes, petroleum and other fuels. The Process uses an inexpensive naturally occurring sorbent called "Termally Active Marble"-TAM that concurrently improves boiler efficiency. I would like the opportunity to share my verified data and answer your questions regarding its use in a varity of combustors.

I became a fireman in a boiler-room in 1961 or 62. Had two C E s' - @ 75,000 eva. per hr. each. One Riley _ @ 120,000 " " ". One B & W - @ 200,000 " " ". All were fired on pulverized coal. Job.. More exciting than a face to face with King Kong! Even now I still have nightmares! Can see those old rascalls disintergrating in my face! Eventually left this job, and continued my working life as a powerhouse operator in three other boiler rooms. This brought me to my retirement, almost two years ago. Over 35 years--well somebody had to do it. Leon Sweatman

You have a real nice site here. Have been on it several times . I have been working with / on boilers for over 50 years, and still can't get away from them, have gone from operator to chief eng. to boiler inspector to repair and sales company owner, and have recently started on model boilers, engines, and trains. It's great to see a site that provides world wide contacts.

Tour to your website gives complete information for companies to draw attention towards your company. As a Marketing & Sales Regional Incharge of a Boiler Manufacturing company, I am impressed. I am wondering whether you have implemented SAP,ERP package which provides very conveinant enviornment for working especially variant configuration - which makes you to react customer's choice for auxillaries of boilers like feedpump.valves, intrumentation, etc., all these variants are configured and help marketing/sales department. Good luck

Greetings from the restoration crew of the RED OAK VICTORY. This is the last ship afloat that was built in the Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond, Ca. The ship was removed from the Reserve Fleet, Susuin Bay in Sept. 1998 and is being restored at its place of birth in Richmond. The boilers and turbines are in good condition and will be pressurized after dry-docking. The ship, now owned by the Richmond Museum of History, will be restored to its 1944 state including its fore and aft gun tubs . Volunteer assistance, especially in the Engineering Dept, will be deeply appreciated.
