: I have 3 firetube boilers with cannon economizers that were installed with no recirc lines. They were bypassed due to maintenance costs. I need to know what size line I can install that will work without overheating my D.A. tank? The feedpumps run continuous with a modulating valve at the boiler.
: Any info would be appreciated, thanks

Contact the manufacturer or its local rep for the proper flow rate required. All you need is a small line back to the DA and a valve that can be throttled, we're not talking a lot of water flow, just enough to avoid steaming. I seriously doubt the DA will become overheated. This is based on the economizer being upstream of the modulating valve otherwise will not work.
