At high fire the presure flucuates all over the guage (0 to 30"). Ease off high fire just a little and pressure stabilizes. Burner techs in today and they can not figure it out. I cleaned the vent line for the regulator and it helped. The problem comes and goes now. Since the vent line also serves as a snorkel for the diaphragm, is it possible the vent line could be too long? We have another boiler identical to this one and no problem. The vent line on it might be 20', other one is a 80'. 100 HP boilers on natural gas. Regulator is correctly sized. I have only been in this plant for about 2 months and this problem has been going on for quite some time.Regulator is Invensys 243-12 3/4 orifice 3" to 14" w.c. Incomig pressure is 5psi and there is no change in it during the flucations of the regulator. The regulator was replaced today . Same old problem. Thanks for any info.
