: Have been given the task of developing new numbering system for old boiler. Some tags and some tag information exist.
: The last person started system and 2mo. In was fired.
: admin want it done, slap tags and go.
: plant wants logical system to produce logical PM work order. but admin produces w.o.
: I have big ears to listen to ideas be for they replace me too.

A workorder management system is straightforward and logical on its surface. The devil is in the details. If an equipment numbering system is not in place, it needs to be created. Criticality for each piece needs to be established. Work processes for the overhauls required need to be established and finally a Computerized Maintenance Management System need to be implemented. Such a system must have specific processes for IDing the work, planning the work, scheduling the work, executing the work and documenting the work.
We will be glad to mentor, council, train and/or implement on any of these features. Please contact us.
