The Copes feed water controller was a mechanically linked thermal element and valve in the feed water line. There was normally a drum high water level in low firing rates and a low drum level in high firing rates. I am not sure that this type of mechanical devive is still avail. Did you try to find Copes - Vulcan on the internet?
