I had a customer contact me about his company directive to take the continuous blow down from the on line boiler and put it into the off line standby boiler to recover the heat in the blowdown. One boiler is a 6oo HP firetube and the other is a 800 HP watertube.
I have not heard of this before and I am trying to give my customer a thumbs up or down on this. Anybody have any ideas or comments?
