: : We currently have carver feedwater pumps that are tired and are considering replacing them with a new carver or possibly an ingersol. Does anyone have any input on which pumps are a better choice?NOSPAM We run 224 degree feedwater at 430 PSI. 200gpm.

: Both are good quality brands. You will pay more for IR because of the name. I suggest staying with horizontally split case, double suction for boiler feedwater applications.

These are both excellent pumps but one you might consider as well is Grundfos I have been using this pump for the past 8 years in various plants and they have proven to be excellent service. the factory has bent over backwards to insure that they were properly sized for the service required. Installed correctly their service life is very good.
