Might be a lot simpler to pipe up a F&T trap on the equalizer or a (new) water column, piped to drain (or condensate receiver). Set the F&T level at the max. boiler water level - when the water level rises due to condensing steam from the common header, the F&T "spills" the excess. During normal ops, it has very minor losses. No operator action required.
