Well no from a safety standpoint. These devices can fail and boilers capable of high output could run out of water rather quickly. A trained operator in continuous attendance can respond to this event and prevent a major explosion. Case in point last years explosion in Tennesee. There are others. The Hartford Insurance Co. has data concerning these.
